Attendance

 Membership in NHS requires active involvement and participation in both community-building and service activities.  In addition, we are committed to expanding your leadership skills and experiences.   

Participation expectations for NHS: 

• All members will be expected to attend every monthly activity.  Meetings will be in person, to accommodate everyone’s schedules and will begin promptly at 2:20.  This will allow enough time for the activity and members to proceed to other activities/commitments after our meeting, if needed. Please allow 30 minutes for this meeting.  

• Each member will participate in the following activities:  

• Ice Cream Social  

• Pumpkin Palooza 

• Thanksgiving Drive 

• Blood Drive 

• PEA 5k 

• Spring Carwash 

• All members will be expected to participate in the Spring Induction Ceremony (May 19th).  

• Some of these events, including the Ice Cream social, PEA 5k and the carwash are outside of the school day or on the weekend, please plan accordingly.  

If you know in advance that you are unable to attend an activity, you must email all the NHS officers and include Mrs. Herve and Mrs. Shay. The estimated time commitment for NHS activities, including planning and participation, is approximately 10-15 hours for the entire year.  We understand that you are all very involved and busy students, so we hope we have developed a very manageable calendar for an enjoyable and rewarding year together!
